Private, dedicated, and hybrid cloud — when public cloud alone is not enough

If compliance, performance, latency, or control point you toward dedicated servers, private cloud, or a hybrid mix with AWS or Azure, we can help you evaluate the path — then introduce qualified clients to Rackspace Technology for managed delivery and support.

Not every workload belongs only in public cloud

Public cloud is an excellent default for many teams. It is not always the whole answer.

Some environments need dedicated hardware, private cloud isolation, predictable performance, data-residency or compliance constraints, or a hybrid design that keeps some systems close while others scale in AWS or Azure.

The hard part is not naming the buzzwords — it is choosing a path you can actually operate. Hiring a full private-cloud or hybrid ops team is expensive. Stretching a small IT group across every layer is risky.

Managed dedicated, private, and hybrid options exist so you can get the control you need without building that bench overnight.

What buyers typically want from private / hybrid paths

Exact scope depends on the Rackspace Technology offering you choose. We use careful, non-invented language here — dedicated and private cloud, hybrid designs — without claiming unconfirmed product brand names. Buyers often look for:

  • Dedicated or private environments when multi-tenant public cloud is not the right fit
  • Hybrid designs that combine private/dedicated capacity with AWS and/or Azure where it makes sense
  • Managed support so day-to-day operations are not solely on a small internal team
  • Clear escalation and a support relationship for production systems
  • Room to evolve as compliance, performance, or footprint changes

We will not oversell a specific SLA or SKU on this page. On a call, we map your constraints to the right conversation with Rackspace Technology.

Is this a fit?

Strong fit

  • Teams with compliance, security, or data-control requirements that push toward private or dedicated environments
  • Workloads that need consistent performance or isolation that is hard to guarantee in a shared public-cloud model alone
  • Organizations already on dedicated servers or private cloud that need a managed support path
  • Hybrid buyers who want some systems private/dedicated and others on AWS or Azure
  • Canadian or U.S. SMBs and mid-market teams that want a plain-language advisor before committing

Probably not a fit

  • You need Multi Cloud Consulting to run 24×7 ops ourselves — we advise and refer; Rackspace Technology delivers
  • You only want the cheapest DIY public-cloud account with no managed layer
  • You need custom application development (that is not this engagement)
  • Pure managed AWS or managed Azure is clearly the better primary path — we will say so

What happens next

  1. Short discovery call — What you run today (dedicated, private, colo, AWS, Azure, or a mix), constraints (compliance, performance, control), timeline, and stakeholders.
  2. Recommendation — Whether a dedicated/private/hybrid managed path looks like a fit — or an honest “public cloud managed support may be simpler.”
  3. Introduction — If it is a fit, we introduce you to Rackspace Technology as a qualified referral.
  4. Their process + yours — You evaluate scope, commercials, and support model with Rackspace. We remain available for clarifying questions about the referral path.

No pressure pitch. The goal is a clear decision.

FAQ

Are you Rackspace?

No. Multi Cloud Consulting is an independent advisor and Rackspace Technology Associate Partner based in Vancouver, BC.

Who supports me day to day if I buy a managed private or hybrid path?

Rackspace Technology provides delivery and support under their customer agreement. We help you get to the right conversation and stay available as a referral point of contact.

Do you operate the managed service yourselves?

No. We do not run 24×7 managed operations as Multi Cloud Consulting. Our role is advice and qualified introduction.

Do you still help if we already have dedicated servers?

Yes. Many conversations start from an existing dedicated or private footprint — or a desire to modernize without jumping straight to public cloud only.

Can hybrid include AWS or Azure?

Often yes. Hybrid usually means keeping some capacity private or dedicated while using public cloud where it fits. We will clarify what “hybrid” means for your stack on the call.

Can you help if we are in the U.S. as well as Canada?

Yes. We work with Canadian and U.S. clients.

Will you share pricing on this page?

Managed service pricing depends on footprint and scope. We discuss expectations on a call rather than post one-size numbers.

What should I prepare for the first call?

A rough inventory of what you run today, any compliance or performance drivers, and whether you expect to stay private, go hybrid, or compare against managed AWS/Azure.
